Meet Team Menogyn
Executive Director - Forrest Ahrens (he/him)

My name is Forrest Ahrens and I'm proud to be the Executive Director at Camp Menogyn. I'm a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in mechanical engineering, and I am inspired by how the natural world can influence our understanding of science. I've guided trips for Menogyn and other organizations for the last five years (culminating with a Hommes du Nord trip in 2022) and am dedicated to providing access to wilderness experiences for people of all backgrounds. I grew up attending family and overnight camp at Menogyn, so I have a deep connection to the community and am dedicated to adapting our programming to the needs of our current and future campers. You can reach me at 763-230-9310 or via email at the link below.
Summer Program Director - Kelly Lewis

Hello everyone! My name is Kelly Lewis and I focus on the summer program at Camp Menoygn. My favorite thing about summer camp is its ability to foster growth and connection and the tight knit community that follows an amazing week spent paddling or on trail. Before Menogyn, I worked in public education, teaching 5th-12th grade and in outdoor recreation and summer camp leadership.
In my free time, you can find me hiking with my husky, cross-country skiing, canoeing, or playing my fiddle. I’m so excited to be part of the Menogyn community and can't wait for an amazing summer ahead—hope to see you at camp!
Fall, Winter and Spring Program Director - Louisa Mullin

Hi everyone! My name is Louisa Mullin, and I am the fall, winter, spring Program Director at Camp Menogyn! I have a background in environmental education and backcountry guiding, and I have a passion for connecting people to the outdoors and each other. I worked three seasons at Menogyn before stepping into my current role as Program Director. Since graduating from Macalester College with a degree in Geology and American Studies, I have worked for Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center, Wilderness Inquiry, Camp Chewonki, and NatureBridge in Olympic National Park. I am thrilled to be part of a team dedicated to facilitating transformative outdoor experiences for people of all backgrounds.
I am committed to meeting participants where they are at, anti-racism work in the outdoor industry, and continuing to make Menogyn an accessible and welcoming place. My favorite outdoor activities are tossing a frisbee, skiing, enjoying a hot drink, joy rides on my bike, and taking frequent dips in Bearskin Lake (during every season)!
Business Administrative Coordinator - Maureen (Mo) Martin (she/her)

My name is Maureen (Mo) Martin and I support Menogyn and Widjiwagan as the Business Administrative Coordinator from St. Paul. I am passionate about getting youth on wilderness experiences and have experienced the magic firsthand starting as a Menogyn camper in 1997 and working on the summer and full-time staff in the 2000s. I hold a BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Master of Education from the University of Minnesota. When not tackling spreadsheets and databases for wilderness camps, I can be found wrangling my kids, cross country skiing, or planning our next family BWCA trip.
